Mohican

Mohican (also spelled Mahican) primarily refers to an Indigenous Algonquian-speaking people originally from the upper Hudson River Valley in New York. It also denotes a distinct hairstyle (commonly called a mohawk in the US) and an eastern Algonquian language.
