Bhiksha
Bhiksha (Sanskrit: भिक्षा) is a spiritual practice in Indic religions—such as Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism—referring to the act of asking for, or giving, alms. In spiritual contexts, it is the noble exchange of food, knowledge, or service between a householder and a mendicant or spiritual teacher. The practice holds several deep spiritual and social significances:
- Eradication of Ego
- Householder's Duty
- Purification
