Syntax
Kairos (καιρός) is an ancient Greek concept for the "right," "opportune," or "critical time," representing a qualitative, decisive moment, distinct from chronos (sequential time) and often linked to seizing opportunity, particularly in rhetoric and communication, but also appearing in modern uses like AI, media (Korean drama Kairos), and literature (2024 International Booker Prize winner Kairos novel). Via: Kronos is more measurable. It's easy to calculate. You can depend on clocks, calendars, and schedules. But Kairos is deep time, and you need to pay attention to Kairos. If you're interested in the stories of nature, maybe the journey of a rock, you can't just measure it with that tiny element of time. You have to look at millennia; you have to look at this long duration of time. https://x.com/david_perell/status/2005009819669819715 [Time]
